BPA has been found to cause your oestrogen levels to rise regardless of whether you are a male or female. Often plastic products which contain BPA have been found to leach when exposed to certain stresses, things like being exposed to temperatures as low as 15°C can cause this leaching to happen. Being exposed to this chemical and consuming it can lead to adverse health effects it has been associated with health problems such as; altered growth rates, early puberty in girls, reduced sperm count in males, altered functions in reproductive organs in both sexes, altered behaviour, obesity and higher rates of some cancers. Growing fears about the long term effects BPA plastics can have has prompted the EU, United States and Canada into banning the use of BPA in baby bottles.

At Duothirst Ltd all the plastics we use in our products are BPA free! We do this as a standard.
